My Approach

At the core of my training is a person-centred approach, in which a strongly collaborative and deeply trusting therapeutic relationship is central to the work. This, I believe, is the foundation of effective therapy. I also practice integratively, meaning I draw on ideas from psychodynamic theory and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Working this way means I can tailor my approach to your individual needs and preferences.

In our weekly sessions together, we will explore any difficulties you are currently facing, gain an understanding of how you experience life, and through this process identify what is most meaningful for you and what changes you may want to make.

Whilst the process of psychotherapy can be challenging at times, as you work through painful feelings and emotions, it can also be incredibly rewarding as you start to understand yourself better, become more accepting of those experiences in your past that you cannot change, learn to deal with life’s challenges in healthier and more effective ways, and make more positive and informed choices about your future.

Furthermore, psychotherapy offers the potential for enormous personal growth and development.
