I am a qualified and BACP registered, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. This means that I am trained in, and draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor the work to your individual needs and preferences. Core to my practice is the importance of a strongly collaborative and deeply trusting therapeutic relationship, which I believe is the foundation of effective therapy. Working closely with my clients, the aim is to build a shared understanding of your current psychological distress and together find the most effective path forward. I have experience in treating a broad range of psychological difficulties, from mild to more complex problems, and have a strong interest in trauma-related problems. I work individually with adults age 16 plus, offering both short term treatment, as well as long-term work, for those clients with more complex issues and requiring on-going support.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a psychotherapist for a counselling service in Cambridge, and prior to this, worked for the NHS and Mind. As a member of and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their ethical guidelines and codes of professional practice. I receive regular clinical supervision from accredited practitioners, follow a programme of continuing professional development to ensure my practice is both safe and current, and am also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for data protection.
